During the spring term, we visited our local care home Beaumont Manor. The purpose of this experience was to enhance the children's communication and language skills but also ensured we completed our 11b411 promise 'Caring Campaigners'. Each Monday, we took half of the class to the care home to visit the residents. We carefully planed activities such as puzzles, reading, and nursery rhymes which encouraged the pupils to interact. At the end of the spring term, we invited the residents to our school to finish this experience. The Puffins thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this experience and it is something we intend on doing again going forward.
