English
At the end of last half term the children had a very exciting time during out English lessons. Miss Wright discovered a small, wooden treasure chest when walking at the beach. We started by using adjectives to describe the box. When then predicted what we thought might be inside of it and opened it to find out. Inside of the box we discovered a small, glass bottle full of sparkly, blue powder. We wrote to share our view of it we should open the bottle or not and why we thought this.
When we returned from our half term holiday we had a huge surprise. The bottle was open and there was a visitor with a letter waiting for us!
This week we will be writing a letter back to Otis to help him to decide if he should try to get back home, or if perhaps it is a better idea to move to Frinton instead.
We are making sure that we are using our neatest handwriting, applying our phonics and remembering to think about the tricky words we know to help make this easy for Otis to read. We will also be learning how to use explanation marks in our letter.
